What type of training will I receive?
Our students receive the academic knowledge, psychological preparation, physical training and hands-on experience to confidently apply to jobs requiring Peace Officer status in Federal, Provincial and Municipal Police Services in Ontario, as well as other Law Enforcement jobs. We offer the highest standards as required by the Ministry.
How is this College different from a Public College?
We offer virtually the same program as the Public Colleges. The amount of course hours is the same but we go through the program in only 10 months (rather than over a 2-year period). We are the only Private Training Organization that offers Police Foundations Training exclusively in the Province of Ontario.
I have taken some courses at another College. Can I transfer those credits?
Transfer of credits is assessed on an individual basis. Bring in all transcripts when you come for your interview. Credits can and will be given to those who completed specific modules.
How much does this Program cost?
The cost of the program will be discussed at the time of the interview with an admission counsellor. Financial assistance is available through various government programs including Second Careers. For more information about financial assistance, please click hereor give us a call at 416-480-1545 to arrange for a personal interview.
What are the requirements for graduation?
A minimum of 75% (overall) is necessary as a satisfactory passing mark. Punctuality, Appearance and Attitude will be factored into the final mark. Attendance is extremely important and a minimum of 80% is required in order to graduate, regardless of academic achievements. Those who fail an exam will have a chance to do a “make-up” exam or re-take that particular module.
