Peaches Geldof, a model and the daughter of Irish singer and activist Bob Geldof, has died at age 25.
Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne, Bob Geldof’s agent, confirmed the death but did not provide any details.
“Peaches has died. We are beyond pain,” her father, the famed anti-poverty activist and Boomtown Rats frontman, said in a statement.
“She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us…. Writing ‘was’ destroys me afresh.”
Peaches Geldof was also a celebrity columnist for U.K. publications such as Elle Girl and occasionally served as a TV presenter.
Police in Kent reported being called to an address near Wrotham on Monday afternoon. A 25-year-old woman at the scene was later pronounced dead by an ambulance team.
“At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden,” Kent police said a statement
She is survived by her father, who is also behind the Live Aid famine relief concerts in the mid-1980s, three sisters, her musician-husband Thomas Cohen and two infant sons.
Her mother, Paula Yates, died of a drug overdose in September 2000.
