Ethiopian movie “Running against the wind is the first ever to be submitted to an academy award from Ethiopia.
ኢትዮጵያ ለኦስካር ሽልማት ፊልም አስመዘገበች በ ቱሪዝም እና ባህል ሚኒስቴር በኩል ኢትዮጵያ ለኦስካር ሽልማት ፊልም ስታስመዘግብ ለ መጀመሪያ ግዜ ነው::
The Toronto sun newspaper reported that Ethiopians are caught with an Oscar fever after one of their movie is contending for an academy award this year .
The Ethiopian Ministry of culture and Tourism submitted the movie Running against the Wind to the academy award . The movie will be contending in the best international film category .

የካናዳው ዘ ሰን ጋዜጣ እንደዘገበው የነፋሱ ፍልሚያ ምናልባትም ለመጀመሪያ ግዜ ኦስካርን ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ሊያመጣ ይችላል::
ከልጅነቱ በኢትዮጵያ ፍቅር የወደቀው የፊልሙ ደራሲ እና ዳይሬክተር ፊሊፕ ዌይል በፊልሙ ላይ ኢትዮጵያውያን የፊልም እና እንደ ስለሺ ደምሴ ያሉ ታዋቂ አርቲስቶችን አትሌት ሐይሌ ገብረ ስላሴን እና የፊልም ባለሙያዎችን አካቷል
የኢትዮጵያ ባህል እና ቱሪዝም ሚኒስቴር ነው ፊልሙን ለ ኦስካር እጩነት የላከው።
ፊልሙ ሁለት የተለያዩ ህልሞችን ለ ማሳካት የሚጥሩ ወጣቶችን ህይወት ያስቃኛል። የፊልሙ ደራሲ እና ዳይሬክተር ፊሊፕ ዌይል ከዚ ቀደም ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ሁለት ትምህርት ቤቶችን ኣስገንብቷል
The movie was made by Negarit film school and production in co operations with RNB film production.
It was directed, written and produced by Yan Phillip and also producer Saol, the owner of Negarit film production. A a crew of over 500 people worked on this movie. Running against the wind movie took over 3 and half years for production.
