Canada and United States agreed to extend the boarder closure for non essential travels .
The boarder closure was set to expire Augest 21, 2020 . However due to the spead of Corona Virus in both countries , the border restrictions have been extended until September 21.
The two countries restricted recreational travels between their borders since March after a spike of COVID 19 cases in both nations . The borders only allow essential travelers including medical staff travelling for work purposes .
Canadian Minister of Public Safety Bill Blair tweeted that the restrictions will continue to keep every one safe . “We are extending the reciprocal restrictions at the Canada-US border for another 30 days, till Sept. 21, 2020. ” He tweeted .
According to CTV News, The border restriction between Canada and US has been renewed five times since the COVID Pandemic.
