The prominent Ethiopian political figure Professor Mesfin Woldemariam passes away . He passes away after weeks of illnesses at age 90.
The political scientist , a geography professor , author and human rights advocate , professor Mesfin has been a household name in Ethiopia’s socio political landscape .

ለበርካታ አስርት አመታት ሳይሰለቹ በኢትዮጵያ ፖለቲካ ውስጥ የተሳተፉ ነበሩ።
የኢትዮጵያ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዶክተር ዐቢይ አህመድም በፕሮፌሰር መስፍን ሞት የተሰማቸውን ሀዘን ገልፀዋል።
“የሐሳብ ልዕልና ምልክት፤ የሰላማዊ ትግል አርአያ፣ ላመኑበት ነገር እስከ መጨረሻቸው ሞጋች፣ ላመኑበት እውነት ብቻ የሚቆሙት ፕሮፌሰር መስፍን ወልደ ማርያም በማረፋቸው ጥልቅ ኀዘን ተሰምቶኛል” ብለዋል።
Mesfin was the founder and head of Ethiopia’s human rights commission and challenged several human rights violations in the country .
He was known for his strong analysis and critics of the political situation in Ethiopia.
