Ethiopian Canadian Day celebrated in Toronto

The annual Ethiopian Canadian day has been celebrated at Christie pits Park of Toronto .

የኢትዬጽያውያን ቀን በቶሮንቶ በተለያዩ ዝግጅቶች ለሁለት ቀናት ተከብራል ።

Thousands of Ethiopian Canadians came out to the park with traditional costumes while dry goods and food vendors served authentic Ethiopia. Food and traditional artifacts .

The president of Ethiopian Association in Toronto, Alemayehu Asfaw expressed his best wishes to Ethiopians across the globe urging the community to engage young people in community wide activities.

Faith leaders on stage also called on Ethiopians to continue to pray for peace in Ethiopia .

Liben Gebremikael , Executive Director of TAIBU community health center to whom the city of Toronto assigned a street after his name was acknowledged on the occasion .

Liben thanked his team at TAIBU and all in the community for the success he achieved.

He called on all stakeholders to work with TAIBU for a better community.

Line up of performers played from the stage while Dj Buggy(Birhan) and DJ Ak(Aklilu) spinned the grooves through the evening.

The two days event organized by Ethiopian Association in Toronto marks the 24th anniversary of the event .
