Kidy foundation Canada in Toronto called on community members to join it efforts to support victims of vehicle Accidents.
At a networking event that gathered the community members , leaders of the foundation asked the attendees to engage in the effort of supporting those affected by car accidents and in raising awareness about road safety .
In November 2013 an Ethiopian Canadian, Kidist kifle travelled back to Ethiopia and lost her life to a tragic car accident .
Her sister Elsa and other friends came together to start a foundation named after her ,”Kidy Foundation”.
The chair of the foundation Elsa paid tribute to her sister kidi while recaptulating her experience of victims of vehicle accidents in Ethiopia .
“It is not only about my sister. It is about helping all victims of accidents in Ethiopia” says Elsa. The foundation is established to continue the legacy of Kidest who was kind, helping and caring .
A presentation by the board member of the foundation Mr. Liben G/Michael shaded light on the situation of vehicle accidents in Ethiopia where close to 5,000 people would die of car accidents. He explained that the foundation has been supporting victims of car accidents in Ethiopia.

በቶሮንቶ የሚገኘው ኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን ካናዳ ሁሉም ወገኖች በተሽከርካሪ አደጋ ተጎጂዎችን እንዲደግፉ ጥሪ አቀረበ ።
የፋውንዴሽኑን አላማ ለማስተዋወቅ በተደረገው የትውውቅ መድረክ ላይ የፋውንዴሽኑ አመራሮች በመኪና አደጋ የተጎዱ ወገኖችን ለመደገፍና በመንገድ ደህንነት ዙሪያ ግንዛቤ ለማስጨበጥ በሚሰሩት ስራ የማህበረሰቡ አባላት እንዲሳተፉ ጠይቀዋል።
በ 2019 የ ቶሮንቶ ነዋሪ የነበረችው ኢትዮጵያዊቷ ቅድስት ክፍሌ ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ተመልሳ በመኪና አደጋ ህይወቷን አጥታለች።እህቷ ኤልሳ እና ሌሎች ጓደኞቿ በአንድነት ተሰባስበው “ኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን የሚለውን ድርጅት በስሟ አቋቁመዋል ፡፡
የፋውንዴሽኑ ሊቀመንበር ኤልሳቤት ክፍሌ በ ስብሰባው ላይ እንዳለችው ፋውንዴሽኑ የተቋቋመው ቅድስት በህይወት እያለች ትከውናቸው የነበሩ በጎ ስራዎችን ለማስቀጠል ነው ; በተሽከርካሪ አደጋ ሰለባ የሆኑትን በመርዳት የ እህቷን ህልም ማስቀጠል የ ኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን ዋነኛ ተግባር ነው ብላለች “የእህቴ ጉዳይ ብቻ አይደለም የድርጅቱ አላማ በኢትዮጵያ በ መኪና አደጋ የተጎዱትን ሁሉ መርዳት ነው” ትላለች ኤልሳ።
የፋውንዴሽኑ አባል አቶ ሊበን ገ/ሚካኤል ያቀረቡት ጹሁፍ በ ኢትዮጵያ ያለውን የመኪና አደጋ ችግር ያሳየ ነበር፡፡ በትብብር በመስራት ተጎጂዎችን ማገዝ የ መንገድ ደህነነት ግንዛቤንም ማሳደግ ይገባል ብለዋል እስካሁንም ኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን የ አደጋ ተጎጂዎችን ሲረዳ መቆየቱን በማውሳት ፡፡
በስብሰባው ላይ የተሳተፉ የማህበረሰብ አባላት ለኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን ድጋፍ ለመስጠት ቃል ገብተዋል።
በኢትዮጵያ የመኪና አደጋን ለመደገፍ በአባልነት ለመሳተፍ የሚፈልግ ማንኛውም ሰው በፋውንዴሽኑ ጥሪ ተደርጎለታል።
