Lalibela, a popular Ethiopian restaurant in Toronto’s Bloor West ( 869 Bloor street West), is looking for an experienced and talented chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Ethiopian culture and food, as well as a strong background in traditional cooking methods and flavors.
Responsibilities: -Preparing and cooking traditional Ethiopian dishes such as doro wot, injera, and Tibs -Creating and maintaining a menu that is reflective of Ethiopian culture and cuisine -Managing kitchen staff and ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely manner -Ensuring that all kitchen operations are in compliance with health and safety regulations -Communicating effectively with servers and other staff members to ensure that customer needs are met
Requirements: -Proven experience as a chef in an Ethiopian restaurant or similar setting -Ability to speak English, Amharic, and Tigrigna fluently -Strong understanding of Ethiopian culture and traditional cooking methods -Ability to manage and lead a team of the kitchen staff -Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment -A commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience for our customers

– የወጥ ቤት ሰራተኞችን ማስተዳደር እና ምግብ በሰአቱ ተዘጋጅቶ እንዲቀርብ ማድረግ
– ሁሉም የወጥ ቤት ስራዎች የጤና እና የደህንነት ደንቦችን የሚያከብሩ መሆናቸውን ማረጋገጥ
– የደንበኞችን ፍላጎት ለማሟላት ከአስተናጋጆች እና ከሌሎች ሰራተኞች ጋር ጥሩ ግንኙነት መፍጠር

– የወጥ ቤት ሰራተኞችን የማስተዳደር እና የመምራት ችሎታ
– ፍጥነት ከሚጠይቅ የስራ ሁኒታ ጋር ፈጥኖ መላመድ
