Ottawa, Canada – In a spectacular display of talent, Ethiopian athletes asserted their dominance at the International Ottawa Marathon today. The Ethiopian contingent showcased exceptional skill and determination, securing a remarkable clean sweep in men’s categories in the highly-anticipated event.

ኢትዮጵያውያን አትሌቶች እንደልማዳቸው ትከታትለው በገቡበት ውድድር በወንዶች አትሌት ይሁንልኝ አዳነ በ 2 ሰአት ከ 08 ደቂቃ ከ 22 ሰከንድ በአንደኝነት ያጠናቀቀ ሲሆን አብርሃ ገብረጻድቅ አባዲ ገለቹ እና አይቼው ባንተ በተከታተይ ከ 2ኛ እስከ አራተኛ ያለውን ደረጃ ይዘዋል፡፡
በሴቶች አትሌት ዋጋነሽ መካሻ 2 ሰአት ከ 24 ከ 47 በሆነ ሰአት አንደኛ ሆና አሸንፋለች። የ ካናዳዋ ማሊንዲ ኤልሞር እና የጀርመንዋ ሜላት ከጃታ 2ኛ እና 3ኛ ሆነው አጠናቀዋል ፡፡
The International Ottawa Marathon, known for attracting world-class runners from around the globe, witnessed a record-breaking turnout this year. However, it was the Ethiopian athletes who left an indelible mark on the event, solidifying their reputation as long-distance running powerhouses.
In the men’s category, Ethiopian Yihunilign Adane showed a remarkable finish and took the gold medal at a time of 2 hours, 08 minutes, and 22 seconds while Abrha, Abi and Ayichew from his team finished Second , third and fourth.
Last year, Adane also won the Toronto Water front Marathon.
Ethiopia’s dominance extended to the women’s race and Waganesh Mekasha secured the gold medal finishing at 02:24:47, followed by Malindi Elmore of Canada and Melat Kejata from Germany.
