The legacy of Aron Y. Haile lives on.
Under the watchful eyes of the parents of the late Aron Y. Haile, the 30 year old software developer, who died tragically in 2003, distinguished citizens and students were honored with the 8th annual Aroni Awards.
To the organizers, Aron was an exception citizen who had big dreams for young people. To them, “his willingness to mentor youth and his overall love for people gave him an avenue to create a focus on giving back to his community”. They add – He “had a strong belief in helping individuals with a drive for change who apply positive efforts despite their economic circumstances; thus creating the concept for the Aroni Awards”.
Among recipients of the award was the late artist Alex who recently passed away to the grief of the communities .His parents received the inspiring award on his behalf .
The organizer of Aroni award Mesfin Haile remember Alex as a very inspiring and kind person .
No wonder inspiring leaders in the community and ambitious young people were honored with the AroniAwards Educational Bursary. That is such a beautiful way of continuing to celebrate an exception life that was essentially Aron Y. Haile.
The 2014 AroniAwards was hosted by the comedian Jean Paul & Kerry-Ann Wright
