Canada wins the opening game against China
The first game of the Women’s FIFA world Cup 2015 brings a surprise win for Canada.
Either the host nation Canada or the opponents, China couldn’t find the net in the 90 minutes period.
At the stoppage time, Canada was awarded a penalty and the captain Sinclair converted it to goal.
The game played at the Common Wealth Stadium in Edmonton. According to news reports, the attendance of 53,058 at Canada vs China game is the largest crowd in any football game played in Canada.
The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup is being hosted by Canada and will be played until July 5, 2015
Africa will be represented by Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Cameroon.
