Ethiopia secured three points in a home game against Lesetho for the African Cup of Nations qualifier. The winning goals for Ethiopia came in the second half from Gatoch Panom and Salhadin Salad.
A game, played in front of more than 75,000 crowd in the city of Bahir Dar, got Ethiopia a crucial win in its first qualifying match.
The visiting Lesetho maintained a lead for the first half.
Gatoch’s long range goal came as a boost for Ethiopian team amid the heavy rain in the second half and the speeding Ethiopian talent Saladin salad converted a second goal at the 78th minute.
Soccer fans at Bahir Dar, a city 578 Kms. away from the capital Addis Ababa, had shown a spectacular support for the Ethiopian team.
The crowd cheered the bride and groom who attends the game on their weeding day.
