Ethiopian American professor Mulatu Lemma recieved excellence Award from the president of the United States.

በሳቫና ስቴት ዩኒቨርስቲ የሂሳብ ሊቅ ሆነው በፕሮፌሰርነት በማስተማር ላይ ያሉት ሙላቱ ለማ (ዶ/ር) ከፍተኛውን ፕሬዝዳንታዊ ሽልማት ከፕሬዝዳንት ዶናልድ ትራምፕ እጅ ተቀበሉ፡፡
ፕሮፌሰሩ ሽልማቱን የተቀበሉት በሂሳብ፣ሳይንስ እና ምህንድስና ዘርፍ ባበረከቱት ምሁራዊ የማስተማር አስተዋጽኦ ነው፡፡
በሳቫና ዩኒቨርስቲ በነበራቸው ለ25 ዓመታት የዘለቀ የማስተማር ቆይታ ከአንድ መቶ የሚልቁ የጥናትና ምርምር ስራዎችን አበርክተዋል፡፡
According to Savannah times, Professor Mulatu is one of the 12 recipients of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring.
Lemma, a mathematics professor at Savannah states University, recieved the recognition for his contributions in mentoring others including persons with disabilities and in supporting the country’s productivity .
In addition to teaching at Savannah states University for 25 years, professor Lemma mentored hundreds of minority students aged 16-63.
