The Nia Center for the Arts is building the first ever Black Arts Center in Toronto .
በካናዳ የመጀመሪያው የጥቁር ማህበረሰብ የ ጥበብ ማእከል ሊገነባ ነው ፤፤ በቶሮንቶ ኣክ ዉድ ኣካባቢ የሚገኘው ኒያ አርትስ ሴንተር ማስፋፊያ ከካናዳ መንግስት በተገኘ ድጋፍ ተገንብቶ ሲያልቅ 400 ሰው የሚይዝ ኣዳራሽ የ ሙዚቃ ስቱዲዮ የኣርት ስቱዲዮ እና ሌሎች ክፍሎች ይኖሩታል ፤፤ የካናዳ ጠ/ሚር ጀስቲን ትሩዶ እና የማእከሉ ሃላፊ አሊሻ ሆል ማእከሉ የ ጥቁር ህዝቦችን ጥበብ ለማስተዋወቅ ትልቅ እድል ይፈጥራል ብለዋል ::
The center announced that it is conducting renovation of its 14,000 square feet place at a cost of 7.5 million dollar. The Nia Center for the Arts located at 524 Oakwood Avenue will be transformed in to a multifunctional arts center with arts studio , recording suit, 100 seat performance space and many more .
The arts space will be culturally safe for Black youth to explore creative talents . Through exhibitions and public programming rooted in modern and traditional Black expression, we will expand our collective understanding of the Black Canadian experience.” says Alica Hall, the Executive Director of the Nia Arts Center .
In his virtual speech , Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau said the center will be crucial in understanding black culture and arts .
Toronto’s Mayor John Tory also expressed the city’s full support to the center .
According to a press release sent to ethiofidel, theNia Center for the Arts https://niacentre.org/about-us/ will be showcasing the black diaspora arts by creating a space for young people to present their talents .
