Ethiopian Canadian research scientist Dr. Mulu Geletu received the “Exemplary University of Toronto Ambassador (EUTA) Award.
Known for her community activism and youth mentorship, Dr. Mulu has been selected the Exemplary University of Toronto Award.
ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያዊቷ ዶክተር ሙሉ ገለቱ በ ካናዳ ቶሮንቶ “ለሌሎች አርአያ የሚሆኑ የቶሮንቶ ዩኒቨርሲቲ አምባሳደር” የሚለውን የዩኒቨርሲቲውን ሽልማት ተቀበሉ፡፡ ከተለያዩ የማህበራዊ ድረገጾች ያገኘነው መረጃ እንደሚያመለክተው ኢትዮጵያዊቷ ዶክተር ሙሉ ገለቱ ለዚህ ሽልማት እንዲበቁ ያገዟቸውን በሙሉ አመስግነዋል፡፡
በ ቶሮንቶ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሚገኙ የተለያዩ ፕሮፌሰሮችን ፡ ቤተሰቦቻቸውን( ባለቤታቸውን አሰፋ ንጉሴ እና ልጆቻቸውን ዮናስ እና ናትናኤል አሰፋ) በተጨማሪም የኢክናስ የእርዳታ ድርጅት ባልደረቦቻቸውን እንዲሁም መላውን የ ኢትዮጵያ እና ኤርትራ ማህበረሰብ አባላትን ላደረጉላቸው እገዛ እና ማበረታቻ አመስግነዋል፡፡
ዶክተር ሙሉ ገለቱ በ ቶሮንቶ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የሳይንስ ተመራማሪ ሲሆኑ ከ 2018 አንስቶ ቶሮንቶ ውስጥ በርካታ ወጣቶችን አማርኛ ቋንቋ ያስተምራሉ ፡፡ በ ሚሰሩበት ላብራቶሪ ውስጥ ወጣቶችን በማምጣት ልምዳቸውን በማካፈል እና በማበረታታትም ይታወቃሉ ፡፡
በ ቶሮንቶው ኢክናስ የበጎ አድራጎት ድርጅት ውስጥ ባላቸው ከፍተኛ አስተዋእጾም በ ኢትዮጵያ በጦርነት ለተፈናቀሉ ወገኖች እርዳታ በማሰባሰብ እና ስፍራው ድረስ ሄደው በመጎብኘት ትልቅ እገዛ እንዳደረጉ የቶሮንቶ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ድረ ገጽ ላይ ስለ ዶክተር ሙሉ የተጻፈ ዘገባ ያሳያል፡፡

Known for her community activism and youth mentorship, Dr. Mulu has been selected for the Exemplary University of Toronto Award .
Since 2018, Mulu has been teaching the Amharic language every Saturday to elementary school children in the Peel region. To inspire young people, Dr. Mulu has been taking students to the Gunning Lab at the University of Toronto during March and summer breaks.
As an active member of the Ethio-Canadian Network for Advocacy and Support (ECNAS) for Toronto and the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area, Dr. Mulu coordinated humanitarian aid to those affected by the civil war in Ethiopia.

“Today, I am very pleased to learn that I was selected as the recipient of the I express my heartfelt delight to all that enabled me to achieve this goal. Special thanks go to Prof. Gunning (My supervisor) for nominating me for the award.
