The Ontario province in Canada announced that it will provide $200 cheques to eligible residents.
The premiere of Ontario Doug Ford said the payment is to help people cope with higher cost of life.
Opposition parties in the province slammed the idea of the cheque handnoit as an effort to buying votes.
According to a press release sent to Ethiofidel, the cheques of $200 will be mailed by early 2025.
