LIBERAL PARTY WINS MAJORITY IN ONTARIO

lib Liberal party supporters and members celebrated the party’s victory at the Sheraton Centre in downtown Toronto.

The leader of Ontario Liberal party Kathleen Wynne congratulated every one in the room

“We are going to build Ontario up for everyone in this province, everyone. We’re not going to leave anyone behind,” she said

Liberals were elected in 59 constituencies, the Progressive Conservatives win 27 and 21 seats were for the NDP.

The NDP  Leader AndreaHorwath says “People were able to make a decision, and that’s all along what I had said was the important thing”

Progressive Conservative’s Leader Tim Hudak , in his concession speech announced that he will resign as party leader.

Ontario is the most populous province in Canada housing the capital city of the country Ottawa

12.8 million people live in Ontario (40% of Canada’s population) where the manufacturing industry is the major employer

Ontario, which means beautiful water in the native language, has 250,000 freshwater lakes

According to the House Hold Survey of Canada, 2011 ,Ontario has a diverse population, with 25.9% of the population consisting of visible minorities and 2.4% of the population being Aboriginal, mostly of First Nations and Metis descent.
