CP 24 reported that one person has been killed in Brampton after coming in contact with downed live wires in Hamilton.
The strong gusty wind caused severe damages across the region while leaving more than hundred thousand residents with out power across Ontario.
Hydro one’s phone line is busy and the agency urged people with out power to report it via twitter .
The TTC is reports a number of interruptions on train routes due to the wind . Several flights have been delayed for hours . Environment Canada predicts the strong wind will subside over night.
