Ethiopian Legendary artist Fikadu Teklemariam passed away.
አንጋፋው አርቲስት ፍቃዱ ተክለ ማርያም ከዚህ ዓለም በሞት ተለየ:: አርቲስት ፍቃዱ ተክለማርያም በኩላሊት ህመም ነዉ በ62 ዓመቱ ያረፈዉ::
Fikadu was suffering from kidney disease and was being treated with a holy water at an orthodox church in the northern part of Ethiopia .
Dubbed as “King of the stage”, the late Fikadu took lead roles on several plays ,TV dramas and movies . The artist was willing to forward a portion of donation given to him to a young Ethiopian girl with a severe kidney problem.
Ethiopians gripped with the artist’s kindness widely shared the story on social media. In an emotional speech, the artist said he wanted the young girl to live her future ” I am in my sixties but this young girl needs to be saved ” said the late Fikadu in recent months.Earlier the Ethiopian ministry of Heath promised to cover his medical expenses .
Fikadu, 62 was one of the most prominent Ethiopian artists .
Ethiopians in Canada and all over the world are mourning his death.
