In his new year message , The deputy Mayor Takele Uma said Addis Ababa ia the symbol of Ethiopian unity and is the capital of Africa. In a message trending as ” who is the mayor” , The new year message calls upon residents to take a proactive role in developing the city.
He wishes happiness, unity , forgiveness and love to the city . Appointed recently by the new prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed, deputy Mayor Umma is gaining popularity for his grass root work and reforms around housing, telephone and services.
