Abel Tesfaye-The weeknd donated 100,000 to an Ethiopian Charity in Toronto

The Ethiopian origin Canadian artist Abel Tesfaye also known as The weeknd donates $100,000 for HIV Charity work in Ethiopia.
Internationally renowned artist ,The Weeknd donated the money to People to People Canada (p2p), a charitable organization in Toronto that helps children orphaned by HIV in Ethiopia.
The weeknd’s donation was announced yesterday at the 20th anniversary of P2P at Daniels spectrum hall downtown Toronto.

In an exclusive interview with ethiofidel.com the public relations head of the charity Ghion Shewangizaw thanked The Weeknd for his donations . “we are grateful for your help and assure you that we will continue changing the lives of those affected by HIV in Ethiopia ” says Ghion.
Grammy Award winner R&B sensation, The weeknd, made similar donations to Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Toronto and to the Ethiopian studies at the University of Toronto.
At the occasion with hundreds of attendees, People to People reflected on the impacts of its activities on the lives of children orphaned by HIV AIDS in Ethiopia.
It was also noted that P2p will expand its mandate and embark on projects around Mental health awareness in the community.
