After eight years of abscence in one of Africa’s largest sports event, Ethiopian soccer team will be part of the African Cup of Nations .
ኢትዮጵያ ለ33ኛው የአፍሪካ ዋንጫ ማለፏን አረጋገጠች ኢትዮጵያ ከምድቧ 2ኛ በመሆን ለካሜሩን የአፍሪካ ዋንጫ ማለፏን አረጋገጠች። ዛሬ ከኮትዲቯር ጋር የተጫወቱት ዋልያዎቹ 3ለ1 እየተመሩ በ81ኛው ደቂቃ ጨዋታው ቢቋረጥም፤ በተመሳሳይ ሰአት በማዳጋስካር ሜዳ የተጫወቱት ኒጀር እና ማዳጋስካር አቻ በመውጣታቸው የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ቡድን ለአፍሪካ ዋንጫ ማለፉን አረጋግጧል።
The ”Walias”, Ethiopia’s National soccer team lost a game with Ivory coast 3-1. However, it qualifies after the other teams in the group , Niger and Madagascar finished their game in a goal less draw .
People in Ethiopia’s capital and other cities bursted in to the streets to celebrate the long awaited victory in Ethiopia’s football history. Several officils and prominent figures in the country including Prime Ministed Abiy Ahmed congratulated the players .
