The multiple award winning movie tells the story of an African American women who transported back in time to face slavery. Netflix announced it will Cary the movie in certain regions of Canada , US, Australia, New Zealand and UK.
Professor Haile Gerima, an acclaimed film maker, is a champion of independent film making and distribution .
His movies including Teza, and Sankofa were screened here at the Toronto International Film Festival .
He was a key note speaker for the Bikila Awards back in 2015.
