Ethiopian owned Soccer Academy in Toronto Graduates 52 kids.

At a ceremony held at Rendezvous  Ethiopian and Eritrean restaurant  in Toronto, Ashenafi Girma soccer academy graduates 52 kids in basic soccer skills .
Apart from learning soccer, the soccer training “enabled kids to socialize and stay engaged” noted the owner of the  Academy Ashenafi Girma.


While being grateful to parents and to all that supported him,  the legend Ethiopian Soccer player Ashenafi wished peace to prevail in his home country , Ethiopia.
Such sports activity contributes to the enhancement of social fabrics. As Justice of the Peace and secretary of Ethio-star soccer club, Sisay Woldemichael stated on the occasion, Ashenafi Soccer Academy is immensely  contributing towards this cause .
The 50 plus kids and parents that packed the restaurant applauded when the guest of honor Member of Provincial Parliament for Scarborough South West, Doly Begum acknowledged the contributions  by Ashenafi Soccer Academy .
MPP Begum who presented a letter of recognition to coach Ashenafi Girma , also appreciated Rendezvous Restaurant for the long standing services in the Scarborough community.
Begum  said that she felt nostalgic about Ethiopian Coffee and Doro dish she had in Tigray Ethiopia few years ago.
Medals and certificates have been presented to the players during the ceremony grooved by music from  DJ Ake.
Ashenafi Soccer academy trains kids and teens and is planning to start indoor sessions for the winter .
