The event, held at Mado Hotel in Addis organized by Kidi Foundation was aimed at promoting awareness around vehicle collisions in Ethiopia and to support the victims.
With a theme “Life has the right of way “, the event featured insightful speeches, inspirational thoughts, and valuable perspectives from distinguished speakers.
The founder and president of Kidi Foundation, Elizabhet Woldemariam and the vice president Mr. Liben Gebremickael, delivered compelling speeches that resonated with the audience.
Professor Brooke Lambiso, an esteemed orthopedic specialist from Black Lion Hospital, shared insightful thoughts about the incidence of vehicle collision and its life altering negative impacts.
Among the notable speakers were representatives of Car accident victims that shared their experience. Mr. Tesfaye Egigu from Abet Hospital and Mr. Yonas Wolde Samayat from Ethiopian Road Safety Association presented their insights from their respective fields.
The diversity of perspectives brought forth during the event added depth to the discussions and left attendees with a heightened awareness about road safety.
Kidy Foundation was established to recognize and memorize the legacy of Kidest Kifle Woldemariam who lost her precious life as a result of automobile collision in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2019. Kidest was a generous and caring person who always strived to help others who are in need. The foundation is named after her to continue her work in ensuring the health and wellbeing of the Ethiopian nationals are respected and maintained.

Kidi Foundation ensured a family-oriented and participatory program, deviating from the conventional formalities often associated with such gatherings. Participants appreciated the unique approach, emphasizing the event’s interactive and engaging nature. The foundation has been making financial support as wll as donations of mobility devices to those injured due to car accidents.
At an event led by the prominent Master of Ceremony Shimelis Bekele , the organizers revealed that the event received generous support from Birhan Bank, which contributed a donation of 50,000 Ethiopian Birr.
ኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን “ለሕይወት ቅድምያ ይሰጥ” በሚል መሪ ቃል ያሰናዳው ልዩ የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ መርሀ ግብር አዲስ አበባ ውስጥ ተከናወነ ።
በ አገራችን እየተስፋፋ በመጣው የትራፊክ አደጋ የተነሳ ጉዳት የደረሰባቸውን ወገኖች ለመርዳት እና የ መኪና ግጭትን በተመለከተ ግንዛቤ ለመፍጠር የተቋቋመው ኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን እስካሁን በርካታ ግለሰቦችን በመርዳት ላይ ይገኛል ፡፡
በዚህ ልዩ ዝግጅት ላይ የኪዲ ፋውንዴሽን የስራ ሐላፊዎች ኤልሳቤት ወ/ ማርያምና እና በካናዳ በስማቸው መንገድ የተሰየመላቸው አቶ ሊበን ገ/ ሚካኤል ንግግር አድርገዋል ። ከተጋባዥ እንግዶች መሀል በጥቁር አንበሳ ሆስፒታል ስመጥር የአጥንት ህክምና እስፔሻሊስቱ ፕሮፊሰር ብሩክ ላምቢሶ ብዙዎችን ያነቃቃ ሀሳብ አቅርበዋል።
ከተጎጂዎች ወ/ሪት መልካም ሀየሎም ፣ ከነጋዴ ሴቶች ወ/ሮ እንግዳየሁ እሸቴ ፣ ከአቤት ሆስፒታል አቶ ተስፋዬ እጅጉ ፣ ከኢትዮጵያ መንገድ ደህንነት ማሀበር አቶ ዮናስ ወልደ ሰማያት እና ከሌሎች ተቋማት የመጡ ተናጋሪዎችም ጠቃሚ ነጥቦችን አንስተው ለታዳሚያን አስረድተዋል።
ዝግጅቱ ከተለመደው ( ፎርማል ከሆነው ) ይዘት ለየት ባለ መልኩ ቤተሰባዊ ገጽታ የነበረውና አሳታፊ የሆነ ፕሮግራም ማሳለፋቸውን ተሰብሳቢዎቹ አረጋግጠውልናል ።
አዘጋጆቹም በመርሀ ግብሩ መደሰታቸውን ነግረውናል ። ብርሀን ባንክ ለዝግጅቱ የ50,000 ( አምሳ ሺህ ብር ) ስጦታ አበርክቷል።
