ኢትዮጵያ በአገሪቷ የመዝናኛ ኢንዳስትሪ ውስጥ ትልቅ ሚና የተጫወተውን አስፋው መሸሻን በማጣቷ ሃዘን ላይ ነች። ታዋቂው የሬዲዮና የቲቪ ፕሮግራሞች አዘጋጅ እና አቅራቢ አስፋው መሸሻ በ1990ዎቹ በኤፍ ኤም 97.1 ላይ “አይሪ” የተሰኘውን የሬዲዮ ፕሮግራም በ ማቅረብ የ መዝናኛ ኤፍ ኤም ሬዲዮ ፕሮግራም ፋና ወጊዎች ውስጥ ዋነኛው ነበር ፡፡
ኢትዮጵያ አንድ የኤፍ ኤም ሬድዮ ጣቢያ ብቻ በነበራት ጊዜ የአስፋው የራዲዮ ፕሮግራም እና ልዩ የሙዚቃ ምርጫ በሀገሪቱ የአየር ሞገድ ላይ የማይሽር አሻራ ጥሏል። የ አስፋው ሙያዊ አበርክቶ ወደ ቴሌቭዥን ከገባ ወዲህም በኢቢኤስ ቲቪ “ኑሮ በ አሜሪካ” የተሰኘ የቃለ ምልልስ ፕሮግራም አዘጋጅቶ በሰሜን አሜሪካ የሚገኙ ኢትዮጵያውያን ህይወት ይዳስስ ነበር ፡፡
አስፋው መሸሻ እስከ ቅርብ ጊዜ ድረስ በኢቢኤስ ቴሌቭዥን የመዝናኛ ሾው ላይ በ ተመልካቾች እጅግ ተወዳጅነትን አትርፎ ቆይቷል ። በፕሮግራሞቹ ላይ ከሚቀርቡት እንግዶች ጋር ጥልቅ ስሜታዊ ተግባቦት የነበረው አስፋው ከሚደንሱት ደንሶ ከሚያዝኑም ጋር አልቅሶ ለሰው ልጆች ያለውን ሃዘኔታ ያሳይ እንደነበር የሙያ ባልደረቦቹ በማህበራዊ ድረገጾቻቸው ባሰፈሩት የሃዘን መግለጫ አውሰተዋል፡፡
አስፋው ባጋጠመው ህመም በ አሜሪካ ህክምና ሲያደርግ ቆይቶ ትላንት ነው ያረፈው ፡፡ የህልፈቱ ዜና በአለም ዙሪያ ባሉ አድናቂዎች ዘንድ ሃዘን እና ድንጋጤን ፈጥሯል ፣“ በ ቤታችን እንደሚኖር አንድ የቤተሰብ አባል ያህል ነው የአስፋው ሞት ውስጤ የገባው “ ብላለች የ ቶሮንቶ ነዋሪ ትእግስት ለ ኢትዮፊደል አዘጋጅ እንደተናገረችው ፡፡
ለ አስፋው ያለውን አክብሮት ለመግለጽ ኢቢኤስ ቲቪ የ መደበኛ ፕሮግራሞቹን ለጊዜው አቋርጧል።
አስፋው መሸሻ ለሚዲያ ካበረከተው አስተዋፅዖ ባሻገር በበጎ አድራጎት ስራ ውስጥም ይሳተፍ እንደነበር ተነግሯል ። ከመዝናኛ ባሻገር በጎ ስራ ላይ ያለውን ቁርጠኝነት በማሳየት በአንድ ወቅት ከአባቱ የተበረከተለትን መኪና ለበጎ አድራጎት ተግባር በልግስና አበርክቶ እንደነበር ተጠቅሷል።

Asfaw, a prominent radio and TV host and producer, gained widespread recognition as a pioneer during the early 2000s when he co-produced the “Irie” music radio show on FM 97.1.
During a time when Ethiopia had just one FM radio station, Asfaw’s radio program and music selection stood out. His influence extended to television, where he hosted an interview show on EBS TV, shining a spotlight on the lives of Ethiopians in North America.
Until recently, Asfaw Meshesha continued to be popular among audiences as a co-host on an entertainment show on EBS TV.
