The Toronto Berhan Television celebrated its 7th Anniversary . The producer and owner of the TV Mr Berhanu TekleMicheal told the crowd that it is through the support of community members that Berhan TV was able to make it up to seven years . He remarked that Berhan TV has been covering social political and religious events in Toronto .

A front line political and social activist in the Ethiopian community in Toronto , Mr. Sahlu Bekele, received award for community services to a joyous applaud from the crowd affirming the relentless activism and community work of Mr. Sahlu . Several other individuals, media outlets and cultural groups have also been recognized during the occasion .
